Five Reasons You’ll Love Her Story Cafe
(Or Mac and Cheese and me)
By Bonnie Simon

Independent Food Review

"One lady asked me if I serve men," says Her Story Café owner Liz  Rosenbaum. "I said, 'Well, if they're hungry and want a sandwich.'"
But what's clear from your first bite — actually from before you even finish peeling down the carefully wrapped parchment paper and foil — is that these sandwiches are thoughtfully constructed and well-prepared overall.

Marr-velous Jerri Marr Sandwich Platter 7/4/12

"Slow down a little bit and see what you're missing," said business owner Liz Rosenbaum. Economic development is not the city's only goal for Southeast Colorado Springs.  They also want to improve the transit system and extend the county offices to that neighborhood. article here

Dining Review: by Kate Jonuska
Making Herstory (Gazette)

Service is warm and surprisingly quick considering that only one or two employees are working in the spacious, clean kitchen. The environment, too, is homey, with real houseplants, mismatched tables and chairs, and wall art urging diners to “eat, laugh (and) relax.” Customers are also encouraged to contribute to a bulletin board of inspiration, where past eaters have posted notes about their lives, hopes and dreams.

Liz Rosenbaum, owner and Culinary Anthropologist

I love exploring culinary anthropology and the story behind the food – why we eat what we eat, how the recipes of different cultures have evolved, where food originates from, and how
yesterday’s food can inspire all of us in our kitchens today.

And to think it all started over a bowl of chicken noodle soup, then a lunch truck, and now a cafe.

Thank you for supporting my business!
